Course Introduction
On the basis of the comprehensive implementation of the "3-6years old children's learning and development guide ", we draw on the curriculum framework of the IB programme, integrate traditional Chinese culture, and allow children to construct their own understanding of the outside world through transdisciplinary inquiry. Inquisitive learning is concept driven, encourages group cooperation, and insists on independent inquiry. During this process, we study every child's research skills, social skills, communication skills, thinking skills and self-management skills. The main teaching strategies are tuning in, finding out, sorting out, going future, reflection, and action (the six steps of inquiry). Pre-assessments, formative assessments and summative assessment are the main assessment methods through which we gauge the student's understanding of the material. In the process of inquiry, we follow the principles of interest, importance, relevance and challenge, and encourage each child to develop his or her own knowledge and understanding of the world in a way that suits him or her. The teacher records the child's growth with personal files to document their progress.
Characteristic education
The kindergarten carries out teaching in Chinese and English, and highlights bilingual features. Each class is staffed with an foreign teacher and a bilingual teacher, so as to create an immersive English learning environment for children and to help integrate English learning into their daily life. Each class has an English corner to provide children with resources such as English picture books and interactive English games to help encourage self-cleaning and communication, and to comprehensively improve children's early English reading ability. Chinese and foreign teachers jointly carry out transdisciplinary inquiry courses. There is specific English learning time every day, but English is also used throughout the day in various classes so as to encourage children's understanding of multiculturalism, improve children's ability to communicate in a second language, and form an international perspective.
